Taste:
- The Green papaya fruit that has a green peel and a pale translucent yellow-green flesh and has a pocket of seeds in its core. The flesh and the seeds are the edible part of the fruit. The flesh has the same texture and consistency to that of a mango. The flesh's flavor is subtly sweet and its seeds are tart and peppery. They can be ground and used as a pepper substitute.

Storage:
- Green papaya should be refrigerated rather than left out on the counter, in order to slow down the ripening process as much as possible. Wrap whole fruit tightly in plastic wrap and keep them in the crisper drawer of your refrigerator.
